Quote Generator
Send a clear, fixed-price quote your customer can accept.
A quote gives a customer a fixed price for specific work or goods, valid until a set date. Build one here with line items, tax and terms, add a space for the customer’s acceptance, and send it as a PDF.
Price the job, set how long the offer stands, and send a quote your customer can sign and return.
How to write a quote
- Add your business and the customer you’re quoting.
- Set the quote date and a valid-until date.
- List each product or service with quantity and price.
- Add tax, discount or shipping so the total is final.
- Keep the acceptance lines on so the customer can sign to approve.
What to include on a quote
- Your business details and the customer’s name
- A quote number and date
- A “valid until” date for the price
- Each item or service with quantity and price
- Tax, discounts and the total
- Terms: what’s included, payment schedule, timelines
- A place for the customer to sign and accept
Quote or estimate?
Use a quote when you can commit to a fixed price for a defined job — once accepted, it’s the agreed price. Use an estimate when the final cost may change. When the work is done, turn the accepted quote into an invoice.
Quote questions
A quote is a fixed price you commit to if the customer accepts before it expires. An estimate is an approximate cost that may change once the work is done.
Commonly 14 to 30 days. Set a valid-until date so prices don’t stay open indefinitely.
Open the Invoice Generator and use your saved business profile; copy the accepted lines across. A one-click conversion is planned.
